They not only experience and emotionally engage with it, but they also contribute to the installation's transformation and modification. As they interact with the installation, they add another layer of meaning, interpretation, and experience.

It encourages us to slow down and appreciate the food we eat, to connect with the ingredients in front of us, to touch, smell, and taste with full attention.

It is a platform for sparking conversation and inspiring change in the way we think about and interact with food.

Terra Firma encourages reflection on our eating habits and explores the possibilities of integrating food production and waste into the surface of the table.

Terra Firma is a shared experience, a collective journey, and an example of the interconnectedness of all things.

The table surface is designed to grow plants, reminding us of the lifecycle of food in our daily lives.

It exists in a state of perpetual potentiality. 

It is complete insofar as it represents a culmination of past efforts and represents a physical manifestation of those efforts. However, it exists in a state of perpetual potentiality. It is never truly finished because it can always be added to, modified, and expanded upon in some way.

The installation is both complete and unfinished because it's always in the state of becoming.

It is a work in progress that is continually evolving and developing, even as it represents a completed stage of the process. The imperfections and unfinished aspects of the installation are an integral part of its nature, as they reflect the ongoing process of exploration, experimentation, and discovery.

The materials used are carefully selected promoting environmentally responsible practices.

Terra Firma is made from a combination of natural and repurposed materials, including raw clay, natural carnauba wax and biomass.
